Richard and his staff did a wonderful job at my Mad Men themed 40th birthday party.  The girls happily dressed the part.  The bartenders looked great.  They were incredibly flexible and easy to work with.  Everyone had a good attitude which made them part of the party.  I received several compliments on the drinks we served.  They left the glassware rinsed and the  bar counters clean.  That made overall cleanup in the morning so much easier.  I thought their pricing was reasonable.  I would definitely use them again and would recommend them to anyone looking for bartenders and wait staff.

If I could give these guys 10 stars, I would!  Our 4th of July Vegas-style pool party was a huge success thanks to First String.  I’ll start by saying this is not the first time I’ve hired bartender and server help for a party so I’ve worked with a number of vendors in the past.  The difference with Richard and his First String staff is the PROFESSIONALISM, attention to DETAIL, and LOVE they have for what they do.  We hired Richard (bartender), Vasthi (server), and Alex (buser +) for our event.  Prior to my event, Richard kept good communication.  He took the time to create a drink shopping list for my headcount and drink selection making it extremely easy to buy exactly what we needed, down the to stir straws.  On the day of the event, he and his team arrived right on time in uniform and began setting up immediately.  We made sure they had everything they needed and from that point forward, I was able to sit back and enjoy.

Alex bused but also manned my front door to show guests in as they arrived.  He also helped with some setup and made sure my guests took their gift bags.  When the caterer arrived, he showed them to their designated spot so they could set up, I didn’t have to lift a finger. 🙂

Vasthi was an outstandingly attentive server.  She was very friendly and our guests all commented (even the following day) on how good she was.  It’s great to have a server that smiles all the time!  She walked around frequently, checking on guests and making sure they were well treated.

Richard, aside from being an awesome bartender, is a real people person.  He made conversation with guest and everyone LOVED him.  He was also extremely attentive and knowledgeable.  His branded light up bar is the way to go.  It’s a full pro setup in excellent condition and really gives a professional feel.

Overall, I cannot stress enough how excellent First String was and how thankful I am for their service.  My advice to other Yelpers is take a few moments to put together a list of instructions/directions and give it to them like I did.  They are so good at what they do, they’ll make sure everything goes off without a hitch.
